Uncharted and SOCOM join the ranks of Greatest Hits

PS Blog - Didn't see this mentioned anywhere but Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and SOCOM: Confrontation both land in the "Greatest Hits" category for the PS3 this week. Meaning, the prices for these have been dropped to $29.99.

Good new on Unchartered, not so much SOCOM. That game is so poor Sony would be much better off trying to hide the fact that it ever existed. They already did massive damage to what they had managed to build for a franchise name for SOCOM(not that it was much anyway).

heh heh
I looked at SOCOM as a $10 game that was bundled with my headset. 😀

Yeah I hadn't heard good things about SOCOM... which was disappointing, because I absolutely loved the PS2 games. But then I had only ever played the single player mode on the PS2, and the PS3 SOCOM was multiplayer only. Multiplayer SOCOM seems like it would be an entirely different game.

Great time to pick up Uncharted.

Yes, finally. I've been waiting for the price to drop on this.

It would be amazing if I could find this at Target for $15 like I did for R&CF.

I bought SOCOM Confrontation, mostly for the BT headset. The game was completely unimpressive - very sloppy controls, weird level design, etc. I sold it, and do not miss it.

I wasn't all that amazed with the Uncharted demo, either, but at least I could understand how people might love that game.

Uncharted ROCKS. I recommend it for anyone that hasn't played it yet.

I've played it, beat it twice, traded it, regretted that, and now I'm going to go pick it up again.

The "twist" in the last ~1/3 made me not want to play Uncharted again... that and I have a stack of unfinished games, so I don't really replay single player only games now. I never sell my old games though... I loaned my copy to my brother and I don't think I ever got it back. For me, it would have been a game to rent. I hope Uncharted 2 is entirely like the first part of Uncharted.

ND said they didn't regret what they did in UC1, and said they had something similar planned for UC2. However, given the setting I can't imagine anything as stupid as the first game, unless they do the exact same thing again. I think they are more creative than that.
