I preordered it after hearing about the beta. It is a huge beta with pretty much all the functionality of the full game's multiplayer.

Got my code and gonna download tonight

Ha, I never used my code from Infamous. I may as well pre-order this game anyway since it's really the only PS3 game I'm drooling for at the moment.

Edit: OOps! I forgot I already pre-order it from Amazon.

Looks like I don't get a code though.

I preordered from GameStop Online, they sent me code within 5 minutes, then I cancelled my preorder.

I do want to buy the game but GameStop charges Tax and way too much for shipping. Amazon has no tax and free super saver shipping.

That is what I did and I'm really impressed by the multiplayer. I had a hella fun time playing it last night.

Yeah it is backwards that is why I'm taking advantage of it. Order through GS, get the code, and cancel. I'm sure it costs gamestop a few cents.

it is because the game doesn't need a demo to sell it. it will sell on the success of the previous ones.

just like with any huge game (Gears of War, Halo 3, Resistance 2, etc) you don't see any demos other than these ones that come as a "perk" for spending money on a reservation or something.

I bought the first one and wasn't planning on buying the second because the last 1/3 of the first one was pretty lame, and the lack of multiplayer meant I never touched it after I beat it (which was a week after I bought it).

Multiplayer makes Uncharted 2 more appealing to me, but I can wait until Sept 29 to try it out. The demo will help me decide whether to buy it or rent it.

I understand the reasoning though - stores need to give you some incentive to pre-order from them. They don't want to compete on price because the profits are too small, so they compete with extras that add value at no cost or minimal cost.

Wait I realized I went to the site to cancel it yesterday but it is still open on my computer and I forgot about it. I went looking for how to cancel and it won't let you. Guess I gotta call them? I'll still get it from Gamestop, just not paying s&h and waiting 5 days...

I was able to cancel mine. But I cancelled it immediately after I got my e-mail with the code in it. And they haven't sent me another code I guess because I cancelled it. Since yours is not cancelled they sent you an extra code.

Yeah I even called them and tried to switch it to in store pickup and they wouldn't do that. Gonna call them back and complain until I get my way.

I had the same problem with not being able to cancel (although the site says you can't cancel once they send you a pre-order item). So I did the next best thing by changing my CC exp date to something way off. Hopefully it'll get rejected when they try to charge it. If not, I'll just send the game back or something.

Man, I tried that too and it wouldn't save it. Kept asking for a valid card.
