PS Blog just announced that the Uncharted 2 Multiplayer Demo will be available to everyone starting at 11AM (I assume PST).

The multiplayer demo comes with four maps, four competitive modes, and two co-op modes. It also includes Cinema mode and a Stage map to make your own machinima.

The multiplayer aspect of Uncharted 2 is amazing, so well thought out and executed, it easily matches the big boys like Halo 3 and ODST IMO, can't wait for this. The Cinema Mode is just icing on an already amazing cake.

Naughty Dog is friggin awesome.

I've never played Uncharted, but hear that it has a cover system similar to Gears of War. Is the multiplayer similar to that as well?

MP was okay. The first game was okay but it was too linear with too much shooting. I hope they do something more like MGS4 where they give you a big open level and let you go at it one of many different ways.

in general, the game is a linear game. It's the presentation of it all that makes it so worthy of playtime.
Look at the Call of Duty franchise. Very fun to play (1, 2, 4), and very linear. A cinematic gameplay style.

All the reviews have already stated the game is linear like the first game, however, each area offers options, like in the jungle climbing to an area that looks down on all the enemies.

Too much shooting? Maybe you are looking for a different type of game? This isn't a Metal Gear Solid game, it's not about sneaking. IIRC, the reviews have stated there are more puzzle elements, but in general the game is still a focused shooter.

A platformer TPS would probably best describe the Uncharted series.

I'm in love with Naughty Dog for this series, absolutely phenomenal.

It is funny that people still want to charge expensive price for used uncharted consider a brand new copy is only 29.99. I was trying to get a hand on used but people refuse to go lower than 25 bucks.

This maybe a stupid question but how do you set your boosters? I have like $5500 but when I go to set the boosters there aren't any.

EDIT: It was a stupid question. I didnt see the store (R1) thats there before you search for a game.

played 1 map today and not that impressed. it might have been because it was sniper rifle and pistol (the 2 shot, shotgun pistol or something) too. It might be because I absolutely suck at these types of games on consoles also. I'm not super great at the SP, but at least it tends to be more forgiving in SP than in MP.

Took me a bit to figure this out as well but before you start searching for a game in one of the screens if you hit L1 i think ( it tells you at the bottom) it will take you to a store where you buy all sorts of stuff. After you buy them then you can set them.

You need to be a certain level to buy certain boosters. But it seems like everyone is using the same boosters in deathmatch.

Yeah, I was wondering why I was loosing 1v1 encounters and noticed the boosters people had. Of course no one had a mic so I couldnt just ask! haha This is kinda what I hated about COD4. When I started to play everyone was already at like level 50 with all the stuff. Of the 4 or so matches I played last night only a couple were under level 5. I think I finished at level 7 with $20K, but you can only buy limited boosters.

I only played one coop level (took me awhile to figure out how to search for specific game modes), but it was pretty cool. Cinema mode is pretty cool too, although its strange to watch yourself play. So I uploaded some videos, but does anyone know how other people can watch them?
