Uncanny Song Similarities - Version 1! (song clip inside)

I have a bunch more pairs of songs that I think sound remarkably similar. I'll post more of these threads when I get a chance. But for now, the question is:

Did the Bee Gees song "More than a Woman" rip off the Seals and Crofts song "Get Closer"?

no they are not even remotely similar. bee gees have a totally different style than the other song.

phish actually admitted the stole the whole guitar intro from syknyrd, give it a listen, and you know exactly what im talking about.

That similarity is too famous cause it got a lot of press due to a lawsuit.

Just the intro on Fun Fun Fun/Johnny B Goode

And yes Chuck Berry's known for repeating melodies/guitar licks. 🙂
