Uncached Hard drive down

Have ran several benchmarks and it keeps coming up that my uncached speed is about 50% of normal.Cached speed is normal. It's an oem IBM UDMA 33 13g. I have DMA checked.
What could be wrong. I'm lost. Help!!

Check your disk drive settings in device manager and make sure DMA is checked. This happened to me. Testing with hdtach, sequential speed (kilobyes per second) went from 5000 to 22,000, read burst speed went fom 4.9mbps to 55.4, and CPU utilization from 98% to 4% after enabling DMA.
