May, Felton, and Marvin Williams officially joined McCants along with seniors Jawad Williams, Manuel and Scott in leaving the defending National Champs.

Best returning player is David Noel, at 3.9ppg. They have an above average recruiting class (who will obviously get some big minutes).

The nation's best conference sure isn't looking to strong this year:
Duke - if Williams stays, HUGE year
UNC - see above
Wake - Paul gone, Eric Williams declared
GT - everyone graduates, Jack probably gone
NCSt - Hodge graduated
Maryland - Gilchrist gone
 
Weird, I see it now... I searched unc, north carolina, tar heels, nba, and no threads on the subject showed up.
 
sheldon is staying...just you wait...isn't too much of a reason not too at this point...duke shall own the acc next year, or at least so i hope
 
oh and sheldon got named as a captain for next year...not sure if that means anything, but just more reason for me to believe....i agree, i mean he did fine at kansas, but he won this year essentially with doherty's team

uh, did you happen to notice he coached at Kansas and went to a few final fours? I think he can recruit.
 
nice UNCjigga....like Roy Williams can't recruit? Get a clue. How much of the Illinois team did their coach recuit? Not his fault.

He can coach, period.

Duke should be very good, yes, and NC will struggle a bit, but their incoming class isn't far behind Duke's, so they won't be down long...BC returns most of their team as well, and they join the ACC next year as well...still a great conference.



 
Ummm...WTF sarcasm meter fasle popsitive yo! I WANT ROY TO START BUILDING THE TEAM!!! Yes I'm sad about May and Williams (esp. Marv) leaving but I WANT Roy to get the chance to prove himself at Carolina. Already we have a few transfer prospects and I think this year's class will be good but next year's recruiting class will be AWESOME!
