I just finished watching it. I guess it's been out on DVD for a few days now.

I liked this movie enough to watch the deleted scenes.

No real "action", this movie was more of a "thinker". Because so many people said they hated it I had NO expectations and really thought it was ok.

Anyone else?

EDIT: Watch Out! May be spoilers in here . . . This is not the movie to know the ending before you see it.

I enjoyed it alot myself, especially the so called terrible ending. I just found it to be unique.

Yeah, I thought the movie was good.

However, the director (can't remember his name right now) better watch out. Cause now everyone is gonna be expecting these big surprise endings. That is the worst, when you KNOW there is gonna be a twist at the end, so you take everything up that point with a grain of salt, and are suspicious of everything.

He needs to make a movie which is much different from his last two.

It's kinda weird, but I just finished watching this also. I also heard not to expect too much, but it turned out to be pretty good.

I totally agree with that. Unique and unpredictable is a little hard to come by these days.

The first one - 6th sense - had a LOT of clues about the ending.

This one was a bit more hidden - all through the movie, I was trying to figure the relationship between the two leading men (one black, one white; one glass, one . . . well you know).

I'm trying not to spoil it.

They modeled Bruce Willis' character after me so....

I guess I have to like it.

Unbannable, eh?

Strange... I just finished watching it myself. I also had heard there was a plot twist at the very end, and I guessed it just before it happened  :)

I was surprised at how abruptly it ended, and I was expecting more to be explained, but overall I thought it was a very unique movie. It's funny how movies like this get you thinking. I'm not opposed to the idea that some of us have unique abilities like David.

Anyway, good job. Did you notice the director's cameo as the drug dealer in the blue jacket? He pulled a Hitchcock.

Speaking of Hitchcock, time for the second of my double-feature--Rear Window!

<< the movie had such an x-man potential....Samuel as the evil professor x ;) oh well >>

That's what I liked about the movie. We've had waay too many X-men type movies. In many ways this seemed deliberately "anti-X-man".

God the ending was crap. I thought the surprise was cool, a unique way to end it, but it was such a let down that they wrapped it up so quickly. Otherwise the movie had its ups and down, I thought it was good in the end, but not spectactular.

How would you have ended it? In a big special effects fight between good and evil?

It stayed true to itself. In that way, it was very satisfying for me . . . as long as they don't make an Unbreakable II.

EDIT: It ended more like a book than a movie. You were left thinking.

The director did a great job giving us hints that samuels character is the bad guy....especially that one shot where only the face was shown while the rest of his head was hiding in the shadows(me shrugs). Also, Mr.Glasses expert knowledge of villians also gave it away. I thought this movie was definately a copy of 6th sense and was somewhat disappointed.

still waiting for one of the mods to change my nick to Mr.Glass :p ;)

We considered doing this, but dropping the 'G' and the 'L'.

However, we decided to make this corny comment instead.

it left you thinking maybe, but the way it wrapped it up with the text or whatever at the end (i forget exactly) just didn't seem right. It didn't bring the movie to a close, but it didn't leave you thinking either, at least it didn't for me.

- Oh man, I wish they would! this one as the proper development of Mr.Glasses character in addition to his shocking realization of his telekinetic powers...he's sooooooooooo cool! :p

with the final movie as the ultimate battle between Mr.Unbreakable and Mr.Glass making this a nice trilogy :p

No, the ending wasn't perfect - the movie was definitely flawed - and there is a way open for a sequel (that's why I mentioned II) - but it certainly wasn't a bad movie. Just very different than the norm.

I also agree, it was not good to have it after 6th Sense because the audience was expecting so much from it.

Anyway, I was surprised pleasantly and glad to see that someone else also liked it.

I got my $3 worth.

EDIT:

<< that movie was goooood...but tooooo short...wish it was like 2 hours longer >>

Then you have to see the deleted scenes on the second DVD included with the movie.

<< someone tell me about the deleted scenes :) >>

The deleted scenes develop the charecter of all the main players a bit further. They also give a few extra hints which is why they were probably dropped.

For example, the Willis character goes in to the locker training room (after the home gym scene) and lifts 500 lbs. Or, he is seen talking to a priest about "why" he was spared.

He did write another movie after the sixth sense which was Stuart Little. So he actually didn't jsut get into unbreakable.

I saw it, having no expectations going into it (I knew nothing about the movie, good or bad). It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't say it was anything special, either.
