Heh, he even shows the S/N of the card...so, I assume it was a legit purchase.

that thing looks amazing. Anyone who complains about the design and cooling of this card are just nuts.

Probably a member of AMD's Red Team Plus, judging by some of his other posts over at TPU forums... I believe they got cards to take home after the RTP event last week, if I'm not mistaken.

I complain because I am just going to remove it for a proper water block. >_>

You and me both, but depending on availability of blocks, I might look into adapting it into my current loop. Then again, this card doesn't have HDMI 2.0, might not have high FPS in Furmark, and AMD hasn't sent review samples to certain sites, so I might not even buy it. We shall see.

Very sound reasons to base your buying decision around.

Like you I have 2 R9 290s in CF under water in a custom loop.

I think the likelihood is we will have to wait for the release of the straight Fury for custom water cooling, Sounds like it will have a more conventional PCB to allow for aftermarket cooling.

When will a gpu water block be manufactured, if at all?

With the tight control by AMD, I doubt a company such as EK even has a prototype to create a block.

I hope I'm wrong.

Hopefully AMD sends a few cards around to the bigger companies like EK. You want enthusiasts to use your stuff you have to give them the whole experience.

Unless you machine one yourself, do you think any other the custom block makers will have one out soon?

I'm betting that unless AMD specified all Fury X must adhere to standard similar to nVidia with Titan that you'll see a vendor with block only, no pump/radiator. The opportunity is too obvious not to have at least one who thinks of it. At least something along the lines of the Asus Poseidon if not a traditional block.

EK already has a page up labeled for the Fury X so blocks will be available either at launch or a few days afterwards. For new cards they usually put them up on launch day and start shipping a couple days later.

Proper WC'ed Fury X vs stock AIO Fury X, that will be nice to see. Air cooled Fury (Pro version, launching in July) will probably use exactly the same PCB as Fury X, too.

I saw they listed it.

Would a single water cooled Fury X be a step up fro CF R9 290s?

Probably similar performance but from one card instead of two if 970 vs. 980 Ti is any indication.

Local Microcenter said they should have stock day of release, call back Monday for confirmation.

I didn't realize just how loud my current card can get. Woof. Trying to keep that little thing under 60C creates a vacuum-sound in my case. AIO FTW!!!

Nice thing with AIO is average user can do something about noise and performance. The EVGA hybrid on my Titan-x run pretty quiet and cooler with dual SP120 fans(50-55c max vs 60-64c max with single fan) .

I'd probably go Push/Pull with my setup too, hmm...I might just be able to retain my case theme by using the stock fan on the inside (sandwiched against the case) and my corsair saddling the back.

Time to see if there are pics with the radiator having mounting holes on the opposite side.

EDIT:
Derp, I'm an idiot, of course it does how else would it mount to the case

Haha, wasn't going to say anything. Not because I'm a nice guy, but waiting for a self response like that one :)
