My sister just used her cell to phone downstairs from her bedroom so she could talk to my mother!

What a lazy sack of sh!t.
 
hey, we had 6 phone lines in our house at one point, and my mother used to call me on my line from the other side of the house ALL the time.

VeggieFrog and I do that all the time when she is home... she will send me an IM telling me she is getting a drink from downstairs and asking if i want one.... or we will send each other links to funny ATOT threads.

My phones are all expandable, as in they all run off the same base, so you can use them like walkie-talkies/intercoms, no need to make a call, just hit a button and yell 🙂

No. My wife and I do it from either ends of the house. Beats screaming at each other.
 
soon we will have star trek comm badge things and it will be much less cumbersome than dialing. "number one, bring me a coke"

I did that to my brother when parents were sleeping and we couldn't get out of the doors to interupt parents. All of our bedrooms were upstairs so I IMed my brother and chatted with him. 🙂
 
i type to my roommate sometime while we are playing WoW... we' are sitting RIGHT next to each other too... heh

usually it's cause we both have headphones on, though sometime's it's just for kicks and giggles..
