Unbelievable Temps from 1.2AXIA OC'ed to 1.45GHZ

Oh BTW case temps are 21.1 to23 degrees celsius. I am about to put a different Fan on my heatinsk. Right now I am running a delta 7200RPm on a Taisol heatsinks. I am going to add a 60MM to 80MM convertor and run a sun-on 56.3 CFM.

Also ordered blue orb for vidcard and north bridge. Ram heatsinks for vid card. Thermal tape to mount the new heatsinks. I am adding two 120mm fans to add to the 3 80MM case fans and 4 60MM fans. Also getting two drive-bay fan rigs and another HD cooler. Also ordered some 3-4 pin convertors. Final thing was rounded cables for my Floppy, Scsi CD-RW, and two maxtor ata 100 drives in raid 0.

Hoping to hit 1.5 to 1.6 GHZ with the KT7-A. If I can't then I will switch to the Iwill KK266-R.
I am just excited to add more cooling and more CPU MHZ. I might get a swiftech if my current plans don't work.

for the extra money your going to pay for the new mobo/heatsink wouldnt it be better to get something that will be guaranteed to work? ie faser hd. thats alot of money to pay when your risking not being able to oc that thing any more: )
 
Faster HD? My two maxtors are 7200RPM and are configured in Raid 0. Only thing faster would be SCSI drives.
 
IBM 75GXP's would be faster than your maxtors. They are they head of the pack right now in HD performance. Still, I'd rather go with your idea because the gain with the h/d's would also be minimal.

If you gonna spend a few dollars, and you want a almost guaranteed performance gain - watercool. I had a crappy AVHA 1ghz that was topping out at 1233 (stable) at 45-50C. Now with my Aquastealth II with Aquacoil radiator, it tops out at 1370 at 10C less. One other performance tweak is Memory speed. I have the KT7A (no raid) and it doesn't let you push the fsb as high as some of the other mobo's (ASUS or IWILL). Man I want an AXIA chip to try so bad I can taste it.......("Oh honey, I think my chip is broke, I need to buy another....&quot😉😀

Oh I forgot to tell you my previous hsf was an Alpha PAL6035 /delta combo.
