OH MY GOSH!!! i cant believe my eyes!! first i was amazed at the speed that i was able play Quake3 at and then i turned up all the setting to max and WOW!! it looks soooo cool!!! but this is the real kicker... i just happened to take a look at the Samsung support website looking to see if they had anything to improve the quality of my monitor (900ift) and low and behold, there was a new driver available!!! this driver not only made everything clearer and easier to read but upped my maximum resolution 4 notches!!! so naturally the first thing i did was cranked that baby up to the new max, 2048x1536 and checked out Quake3 Arena! well, it is simply unbelievable! its like a whole new game!!! i just cant even put it in words how spectacular it looks... here is one of the many screen captures i took... it is untouched, just changed to .jpg format... it looks nice but still nothing compared to when it is actually viewed at 2048x1536! NVidia RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Quake3 Arena at 2048x1536 everything maxed!

****UPDATE****
Even though i was so impressed with how good Q3 looked i have to admit, even though i dont think its quite as impressive graphically, i am playing Serious Sam 2 a lot more these days! it still blows me away what a difference a vid card upgrade can make! my P3 @1 Ghz is gonna last me a little longer now!!!
here is a screen shot from SS2 at 2048x1536 everything maxed... again, the detail on the gun is much more impressive when viewed at the resolution of the picture!
