Unbelievable behavior at Boomers

My friends and I went to Boomers late at night, and we had two tickets remaining near the end of our trip. We planned on riding go carts twice before they closed then go home. The line closes at 11:30, and we were like next in line at 11:15, meaning our ride woudl've been over around 11:25 and we would've been able to get back in line one last time and use our remaining tickets. All of a sudden, a group of like 6 people just go in front of us, right under the eye of the workers. We call them over and we're like, hey why are these people cutting. They proceed to give US attitude about it, and so we're fvcking pissed now. The workers do nothing about the people that cut, and thus when our ride ends, it's 11:32 and we're not allowed back in line. We ask if we can get a refund on our remaining ticket since thanks to the incompetent workers we should have been back in line before 11:30 again. The same workers gives us more attitude, some sarcasm, and we're over the edge now. One of my friends cars broke down halfway through our ride and he goes to management to ask if he can get another ride even though the lines are closed because he barely got half the ride.

Management, which was also stupid as hell, says yes and calls the track for us. We go out there, my friend asks if we can all ride (WTF is the point of having one person ride by himself for 5 minutes?), and the security guards and workers say yes. The same guy that was a dick to us earlier comes out and says no no no only one person can ride. We even offered to give him the remaining tickets that we were going to seek a refund for. He says no no, i'm only going to open up the ride for this ONE person. Imagine how fun that would be, racing yourself on a track for 5 minutes. We go inside to complain again to management but the manager has locked himself up in the office and wont respond to our calls. We ask an employee for corporate names and phone numbers so we can file an official complaint. As we're leaving to our car, the worker that was a dick to us plus a friend of his and a security guard start muggin us. I look at them and see them pointing at us, and so we turn around and start walking towards them.

We ask him what he said, and he starts talking a bunch of sh!t to us. Things escalate, and while still on COMPANY time, he threatens to kick all our asses. He's a pretty big black guy, stupid as hell from what we've witnessed so far, and I'm getting pretty nervous. The security guard actually LETS him come out to the parking lot to confront us, where he gets in my friends face. My friend basically says, "hit me". He says "i'm basically going to get paid to kick your ass." Yeah, get paid $6.75 an hour, don't be so modest. The security guard finally comes between them and as we leave he yells some more at us.

Boomers Corp. is certainly going to hear about this, we have complaints against 3 workers, the security guard, and the manager. We were all treated with disrespect, we think a lot of it had to do with the fact that we were teenagers. The security guard let the workers confront my friend, threaten my friend, and call us a bunch of names. The manager seemingly had no control over the park whatsoever. One of my friends went in asking for a refund on one of his tickets. The manager says "i'm not going to give you $7.00 back for the ticket." Regular price for tickets is 7.00. We bought a value pack and each ticket really only cost us around 4, and so we ask for our freakin 4 dollars back. He says no again and then runs away to his office.

I know a lot of this could have been prevented, but I can't believe we were treated with such disrespect and in such a manner by not 1, 2, but 3 employees. I'm personally going to go back to make sure the guy isn't working there. If he had actually hit my friend, Boomers would have had a nice lawsuit on their hands. All this, caused by cutting in line, and a request for a $4.00 ticket rejected.

Cliff Notes:
- People cut in line right before us, preventing us from getting back in line by 11:30 so we can ride the go-carts again.
- Idiot workers do nothing about it, giving us attitude, sarcastic remarks, and basically being idiots
- Management is incompetent and has no control over the park, and is afraid to face customers.
- As we prepare to leave the park, the same workers talk and start a bunch of sh!t.
- Security guard lets workers threaten customers and get in their faces, all while doing absolutely nothing

your dumb. you should have gone and kicked the people that cut in front of you's asses.

Sounds like you're a little worked up over a pretty silly situation. I currently have an issue with Michael's Arts and Crafts over a custom framing order that was pretty much ruined/late/disrespectful employees. I simply wrote a letter to the CEO of the Company, and I'll expect a check, gift card, apology, or all three in a few weeks. If not, I'll file a small-claims suit for the cost of the framing order.

Don't get mad. Calm down, write a coherent letter to the big boss, and don't threaten a lawsuit, and don't say "IF this had happened we would have sued you." State the facts, and be curteous. You may get something nice out of it.

We pointed out the people that cut in front of us. They looked at them, looked back at us, and shrugged.

We know it was a pretty dumb situation. Was it really that hard to let us back in line at 11:32, considering they knew they had already screwed us out of a second ride because they let those people in front of us in the first place? They were going to open up the ride again for my friend, was it really hard to let another 4 people go with him? A standard race has like 15 people anyways. Was it really that hard to cough up 20$ or so to give all of us a refund?

Hopefully after a well written complaint is filed something good comes out of this.

Go back during the DAY TIME when a REAL manager is there. I hope you have everyone's name. Deliver a copy of your letter to the manager there before you send it.
Have a copy in an envelope, already addressed to the local papers, TV stations, whoever has a "consumer action line" especially. Let them see that envelope. Same for corporate office. Send letters to SEVERAL people at Corporate. Marketing VP, Customer Relations, Human Resources, as WELL AS CEO.
Good Luck

Yeah I was planning on calling the BBB on Monday morning. Their cars probably aren't even worth keying. I guess all I'm after right now is their jobs. If you don't know how to work customer service, don't do it. It really bothers me that if we were older, a lot of this wouldn't of happened. Just because we're teens he figured we wouldn't have the balls or be smart enough to complain. Even if we did, he probably figured the manager would take his side. Anyways, I'll be really happy when/if he loses his job. Boomers is a large chain I'm sure they'll have no problem disposing of a couple of people rather then risk negative publicity/feedback.

you know what, its entirely true customer service is crap when you're a kid, and just crap in general at low salary, low class businesses

whats funny is that those idiots who messed with you are wondering why their lives is sh1t and why no one treats them with "entitled" respect - hey don't worry they'll be wearing some kinda of stupid brightly colored uniform the rest of their lives

if you have the time definitely go through with this, but be careful not to leave yourself open to sh1t - these guys arent above comming to your house and breaking your stuff if they're as stupid as you describe
