Was checking the credit card statement today and I saw a credit for $6 from a DaVince Limousine located in Yuba City, CA, 4 days ago. I'm in Ohio.

uhhh....

CLARIFICATION:
It's an unauthorized credit, not an unauthorized charge, meaning I GOT money as a result of this.

I think you guys are missing the point that it was a credit and not a charge.

Didn't miss it one bit. Just wondering why he finds it odd that a credit card statement has discrepancies....

Should I notify Amex? Should I cancel my card?

I think he finds it odd that he doesn't know how they gave him the credit.

I had an incident similar to that a year ago for $79, and they dropped the charge when I contested.

I had two credit card companies accidentally *cough, cough* give me a $.50 credit so they could start sending me monthly statements with all their advertising and checks to transfer balances.

One day I'm going to invest in a steam powered generator so that I can burn all the crap I get in the mail and light up a small town.

Thats how it works. They do a small charge then later they will slam you with a big one.

I'd get a replacement card

Guys, READ the OP. It's a credit not a charge.

Vice-Versa... maybe they decided to give you money... to see if you will cancel or not. OR even notice the $6
