So then NW is bisbanded and people can just "walk" around their neighborhood...with a CC permit...what would such a law really accomplish?

Good point they should make it a law that affects everyone not just people on Neighborhood Watch patrol.

and that's relevant because it shows.........what????

That's what I'd like him to clue me in on. It looks like a photo of a teenager wearing a sweatshirt. I don't know how this could be relevant in any way to this discussion.

Again based on what?? Many here have said Z couldn't id T at first so where is the resonable cause?? Do you think Z stops every single person walking down the street?
He couldn't ID him so he went to talk to him...and do you know he doesn't stop every person he doesn't recognize?

Only relevance was it being a recent picture as I said...other posters had said they wanted a more recent photo since the ones being circulated were showing him much younger

Given that it could have been avoided then I don't think that a law keeping people on neighborhood watch who are carrying from confronting a person who is not obviously in the middle of a crime is unreasonable.

By all means please call, email, and write your Federal and State representatives requesting that they propose such a law or modify the existing laws.

Corwin, here is the where the evidence from what ch33zh1z said...

Because "they always get away".

Crump filed a public records lawsuit to get the 911 recordings for the night of the shooting. Crump said people who have heard the tapes said Zimmerman, who is white, made a comment about Martin’s race during the call and that he had no intention of letting the youth get away because, “they always get away.” Others outlets have reported the use of an expletive. Martin is black.

the link above contains that possible evidence.

I wonder why all the facebook pictures have been scrubbed and nobody can find more recent ones? I wonder why we don't know why he was suspended?

You should really keep up with this thread..that has been addressed at least half a dozen times

I'm here for the hell of it by this time. I haven't kept up since page 10. 100 posts per page, I read 1,000...that's more than enough for me. It just keeps going 'round and 'round.

What facts there are will be part of the trial. I'm very interested to see the outcome of both the police investigation and the court cases.

You posed a question, I replied with what is a valid reply.

And there you go trying to deny CC in general...over one possibly bad use...

No, it would keep people with a concealed weapon from confronting people who are walking down the sidewalk and aren't in the middle of committing a crime. It wouldn't keep you from carrying.

It shows how black he is. Look at him. Look at his blackness. Think of how badly that offends some people. That alone is proof of guilt.

An article that is still saying he's white? If they can't even get that right...

So if you're carrying you can't talk to anyone or ask them questions?

Haha...I'm sort of with you on that...I give up when I leave work at 5 but for some damn reason get sucked back in the next day:\ I really don't see there being a trial unless something profound comes out that the police haven't seen yet, but I do think with all this attention that the majority if not all of the evidence will have to be made public record...of course there will be those (on whichever side that doesn't get what they expect) who won't ever accept what is released

He couldn't ID him so he went to talk to him...and do you know he doesn't stop every person he doesn't recognize?

And if T refused to acknowledge Z talking to him or became agitated because some creepy strange dude coming up to him and continued walking, Z should have backed off. He can call the cops if he wanted to but that would have ended it.

Big difference between being responsible and being a hothead.

BTW if I took Z's call I would ask the following...

Me: what is the person doing that is suspicious?
Z: they are walking down the street in our gated community and I don't know who they are.
Me: do you know everyone in the community?
Z: yes
Me: does your community allow visitors?
Z: yes
Me: are the visitors required to be registered?
Z: no (because I don't know any gated communities that does this)
Me: what makes the visitor or their behavior suspicious?
Z: he looks like a criminal
Me: why do you say that?

We are now down to nothing other then T being black.

I wonder why we don't know why he was suspended?

Spidey, the father said he had been suspended for tardiness. From the Krop Senior High School handbook.

http://74.53.27.98/~mkhscom/Information Files/Student and Parent Handbook 11-12.pdf

Tardy Policy
All students are to report to the Attendance Office when they arrive at school after 9:00 am. A student is tardy to class if he or she is not in his or her assigned classroom and seated when the tardy bell rings, provided the student is in class attendance before the close of that class period. Students will incur escalating administrative penalties for tardiness.

Number of Tardies Penalty
1 No Penalty
2 No Penalty
3 Detention after school (45 minutes)
4 Detention after school (45 minutes)
5 Saturday school (2 hours)
6 Indoor suspension (1 day)
7 Indoor suspension (2 days)
8 Indoor suspension (3 days)
9 Outdoor suspension (1 days)
10 Outdoor suspension (3 days)
11 Outdoor suspension (10 days) and
12 Recommendation to opportunity school

Student sign-outs may be requested between 8:30 am-1:30 pm. The parent or guardian must come to school to sign student out. Any exceptions to these procedures must be addressed in a conference with a school administrator within 24 hours of the tardy.

Huh? I immediately called into question the parts of the article that don't match my position? You must be confused, I don't have an opinion on whether Zimmerman committed a crime or not. My position is that we don't have all the information, that we should let the investigation run it's course, and that the media and PC crowd (just like most of the posters in this thread) are out for mob justice to suit their pre-conceived notion of what must have happened.

The facts that are known point to a killer who was out stalking the neighborhood with a gun pretending he was some kind of police officer or something.

In order for the gun to come into play he would have had to brandish it or threaten the minor... which is bad enough already. Surely enough to call into question his mental stability which is a requirement in florida to own a gun.

The end result of the altercation is the child being fatally shot.

Had the kid broken into the killers house, sure.. he'd have every right to shoot him. But nowhere is it acceptable for an average citizen to walk around with a gun and approach random people to instigate a confrontation in which any of this is even possible.

you already said Z's arrest for assulting a cop isn't relevant. Why is T's suspension relevant

An article that is still saying he's white? If they can't even get that right...

It's an older article but the details about Crump's decision to sue for release of the tapes was what was under discussion given the quote about "they always get away"
but yeah since the release of the pictures people should correct such details with a correction at the bottom of the older articles.

So if you're carrying you can't talk to anyone or ask them questions?

Sadly that may be the case. Let neighborhood watch people ask or have someone who isn't armed ask them the question while you hang far enough back so that you aren't a provocative factor.
