According to some that heard the 911 call, he did know his race
No what has been reported is he said "these a**holes always get away"...if you believe that a**holes is a new slang term for black then I can't help you at all

Some may want to assume since he said that he HAD to be referring to blacks, since you know NOBODY calls anyone an a**hole that isn't black:rolleyes:

He called before he approached...you're trying to change reality again to fit your bias and preconceived notions

Assuming he was a responsible black captain and he knew everyone in the development how could he make a call to police claiming suspicious behavior/person without seeing them first?

If what you say is true how is unidentified person just walking down the street suspicious? Wearing a hoodie in the rain??

It's been reported on the 911 tapes he said "they always get away". That indicates he at least identified the race/gender of Treyvon.

Zimmerman isn't white.

I hate to be the bearer of information, again, but hispanics and blacks perpetrate more violence against members of each race then they do against other races.

http://lashawnbarber.com/archives/2006/12/18/black-and-hispanic-hate-in-la-county/

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/01/17/us/17race.html?pagewanted=print

So, this only lends stronger credence towards Zimmerman being a paranoid loser.

Also: Zimmerman.

Zimmerman.

...

....

Spidey, do not for a second try to convince anyone that you didn't read that name and assume this irresponsible loser was white. Call him hispanic if you want, if that's how he defines himself--fine. But he is very likely of mixed origin, so why then define him as any particular race? Is Obama no more black than he is white?

How about we jsut refer to him as what he is: a parnoid and irresponsible loser that will soon become the poster child for more rabid anti-gun laws.

And I know this is what you truly fear, and this is why you are so passionate about this story. You and I both see what this means, and it scares you shitless.

"They" is an ambiguous term, and he said "those a**holes" actually, only those with an agenda would assume it meant black...someone walking down the street slowly, in the rain, with a hood concealing their face is suspicious and worth taking a closer look at...he saw a suspicious PERSON not a race...with other crimes having recently being committed there with no arrests the "a**holes" would be those that have always gotten away, why does it HAVE to be a racial thing?

people with access to the tapes told him Zimmerman made a comment about Martin’s race during the call and said he had no intention of letting the youth get away because, “they always get away.”

From one of the earlier links.

So all black and hispanics are out to get each other now? Racist much?
From one of the earlier links.
One more time, no mention of any race...only a bias and agenda would assign race to an ambiguous term such as "they" or from what was really said which was "those a**holes"

Huh? I immediately called into question the parts of the article that don't match my position?

In post number 1645 that you made

You quoted this part of my text.

details of the Miami Herald article I personally won't have faith in the investigation into this incident unless another level of authority looks at it.
then made this reply
I have zero faith in the media to come up with any objective information in this case, they are simply fanning the flames for mob justice.

If you read the whole article it's pretty balanced it presents information indicated by the title then presents what the police have said about Mr. Zimmerman's statement and that the physical evidence corroborates his statement. Then they also mention that the police have questions about the testimony of one of the witnesses.

Given that you didn't quote the entire sentence just below
Given the past troubles of the SPD in the area as touched upon by this article
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/0...n_1345868.html

and the details of the Miami Herald article I personally won't have faith in the investigation into this incident unless another level of authority looks at it
it's not an unreasonable conclusion that you might have had some issue with the Miami Herald article.

No, the leaker indicated that race was brought up in his call to the non-emergency line before the incident.

When ever I call police to report something the first thing they ask is "what race and size"

The dispatcher asking and Zimmerman providing it are two entirely different things. I'll let you figure out which one it is we're discussing here. Here's a hint : it's probably the same thing you would respond with instantly in almost any call YOU make to 911.

Someone walking down the street slowly in the rain with a hood on?

BECAUSE IT WAS RAINING!!!!!!

If that's you definition of suspicious behavior sounds like someone looking for any justification for a confrontation.

So anyone living in FL know what the daylight conditions in Florida likely were at the time of the shooting?

The article says that the shooting occurred around sunset and where I live there is definitely a period of good ambient light for about 20 minutes after sunset.

Mr. Zimmerman could have gotten a glimpse of Trayvon Martin's hands even if he was wearing a hoodie and made the determination of race that way.

What are you going to say when these two Law enforcement agencies find nothing wrong with the Sanford PD findings?

Tell that black militia group to start "questioning" Zimmermans family on the street every day.

Maybe have to apply some "self defense".

That similar to OJ Simpson, a possibly guilty man walked free. But the justice system isn't perfect, it can't be since it's made of people and people aren't infallible.

I'm sure a Judge would issue a court injunction against this group right now that prevents them from being anywhere close to Zimmerman or his family. Then the police would have no reason not to take said people into custody for violating the injunction.

So you stroll CASUALLY while it's raining? Or do you move your ass a little faster to get the hell out of the rain?

It was stated a dozen or so pages ago...this was about 40 minutes after sunset

I'm pretty sure I've read every article so far and the wording was he knew the race BECAUSE he said "they always get away", not that he knew it AND said that...and get it right, he said "those a**holes always get away"

How hard was it raining that night? When I have to walk in the rain I don't really move faster unless it's a fairly medium rain or higher because then you're also likely to splash water on your legs if you hit a puddle.

Like many have said there's just a lot of unknowns.

Exactly, but saying there's no way it could be considered suspicious at all is plain silly...
