I hear you, and I understand your point...
however, this flies directly in the face of the narrative of "mighta been a rapist" and Trayvon being terrified.
If you're someone who is supposedly used to being profiled, and we were told by no less than the President today that every black man knows all too well how this profiling thing works... and you're in a gated community, you're a guest there... a guest OF A GUEST in fact, and you see a guy in a nice truck... he's "white", he's got a phone up to his head, and you believe him to be acting like a police officer, or acting like he's some kind of security guard...
Well, let's just say that even if you also believe he has no legitimate right to act in that capacity, you can't know for SURE that he doesn't (could be a plainclothes officer or official security, or neighborhood watch) and it would behoove you to act accordingly.
As in, query the individual verbally to get to the bottom of it. Or, if you aren't comfortable taking that risk... go home.
It also seems reasonable to say that if that is your perception of the person, you probably don't fear that they're going to KILL you, but rather you feel that they are going to be a HASSLE for you, no?
Whatever you do, don't viciously and continually attack them and ignore their terrified screams for help and mercy.
That's a really good way to get shot dead.
A police officer , security guard ar any citizen on honest business does not roll up their window when some one approaches their vehicle. A LEO, SG or honest citizen would identify themselves as a non threat. Sorry your vacation ended so soon, it made the world a better place.
