Sounds like "punks" to me but I do find it intersting how many people here are convinced that he says "coons", even though that audio is very unclear.

I gotta admit it could be either. half the time it sounds like coons but i could see it being punks.

its not the clearest audio in the world and hard to understand.

that would be some extraordinary timing. Right before the shot?

It can happen very easily. Wasn't that person also talking to her older son or boyfriend/husband? She probably turned her head when talking to him.
Yes, it could be timing, she turns to say something, screams drop in volume, before she can speak shot rings out.

Alkemyst, is your entire line of reasoning that you should act subservient to avoid violence? That's like telling battered woman to listen to their man and then they wouldn't be subjected to violence. The kid did not deserve death even if he did talk back to the creepy psycho.

Well, it subsided significantly before the shot, in a way that it had not before during the rest of the call.

Pretty sure he said " Fucking punks ". But still. The argument can be ended now. We have the girlfriend on the phone w\ him telling him to run because a suspicious guy is following him for god knows what reason.

Given the shooters background, he shouldn't have even been in possession of a gun since he's a felon. They clearly told him not to follow the victim, and at that point he'd made his decision to goto prison.

( no, I don't care that it's expunged... there are tons of felons living happy straight lives who don't get their right to own guns back.. this asshole shouldn't either just because he probably got the right lawyer for his case.)

Where is there evidence that he was/is a felon?

wow, so your take is if you are thought to be guilty you are?

To expunge a conviction means you were convicted in the first place.

meh its expunged i don't care.
he is not a Felon. just a idiot
And it's clear to me that he says coons not punks.

As I stated before... you can expunge the crime, but it still occurred and he was still found guilty prior to whatever deferred adjudication deal he completed.

Which if you're going to have that view, you may as well expunge all convicted felons after they've completed sentencing and stayed out of trouble for a certain period of time. I'd be behind that. But I'm not behind the lopsided nature of the justice system. Most felons don't get a second chance.

I'm saying that she was turning the entire time and you could hear the screams varying in volume, but shortly before the shot it went away completely.

That happens ALL the time. Plead guilty to lesser crime, Do some community service, suspended sentence and if you're good for 6-12 months then it's done.

Did I say it didn't? It's still makes him guilty of a felony act. If he wasn't guilty, why'd he take the plea deal?

Person screaming may have been gasping for breath causing their scream to subside for a time. You have to breathe sometime.

So if you are charged with a crime and the charges are dropped, you are somehow still guilty?

How does that work?

What you get expunged are the charges. It doesn't mean you are guilty of anything.

maybe. lots of maybes :)

edit: actually, maybe that's what the intervals of the scream are, since they do come and go.

Got outside, using a stopwatch , start screaming at the top of you lungs and see if you can go 45 seconds straight through, not stopping for breaths or having to stop completely. It ain't easy.

He was obviously stressed about this suspicious person, who we now know is innocent but at the time he didn't know that.

Why do you keep defending this murderer? Are you related to him? Are you him? Like spidey07, you continually fabricate things and claim them to be facts. Why?

I'd just like to know how you spend 6.5 hours on a cell phone in one day? Then again, maybe I don't want to know what he was talking about for that long...

true, but we're using the prior conviction to judge his character on a moral basis to see if he is an evil murderer.

The letter of the law stuff is in explaining the actions of law enforcement.

No, we are asking whether someone who admitted guilt and was convicted of a felony assault of a police officer should have been able to have a gun, much less a CC permit. The fact that it's a technicality that allows him to is strange.

pft. that in itself don't stand out and it don't matter to anything at hand.
