"Unable to write to drive C" error in RAID system...which hard drive?

Hello.

I'm working on a system with an MSI K7T66 Pro motherboard with an onboard Promise IDE RAID controller with two 30 gig drives striped as one. I'm getting an intermittent "Unable to write to drive C. Data or files may be lost". Which physical hard drive is the suspect drive or is there no way to tell unless it fails completely? Thanks.

This may sound silly but switch the controller cables around...?

Did you mean switch hard drive connections? If the drives are still being seen as a single drive C, won't I just get the same old error about the C drive and still not know which hard drive is having a problem? Since you mentioned that, what would happen if I just disconnected one of the drives? Thanks again!
