Anyone here familiar with Office 2007, ActiveSync 4.2 and Windows Mobile 2003? I recently installed Microsoft Outlook 2007 and couldn't sync with my MPx220. I did some digging and found the following page:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923931
"This problem occurs when Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 software for Pocket PCs is not installed on the Windows Mobile-based device. Outlook 2007 is supported only by Windows Mobile-based devices."
Does that sound like only Window Mobile 5.0 is supported with Outlook 2007? Did I just %*@$ myself? Looks like I'm forced to upgrade to a phone now with Windows Mobile 5.0?
Looks like there is no ActiveSync version fully compatible with Outlook 2007 according to this page: http://www.pocketpcfaq.com/faqs/activesync/tshoot-as4x-limitations.htm
ActiveSync 4.2 or earlier is not fully compatible with Outlook 2007. Users have reported problems synchronizing the Notes field for Calendar, Contacts, Tasks as well as the Notes item type. At this time there is no version of ActiveSync that fully supports Outlook 2007.
