Unable to see data on CDRW

Hello,

This is a puzzle to me. A compaq Evo N400c cdrom cannot read the data in CDRW. I used the same cdrom and plugged it in my laptop and it can see it. The trouble laptop is running Win98. Other desktops can also see the data. I need to be enlightened on what can cause this kind of problem. Any ideas would help. Thanks.

Go to www.roxio.com and get a reader file (called a RDF, if I remember). It allows a non-CD-RW system to read this type of disk in the cases where it has a hard time. It is a lack in your OS, not a hardware problem, which is why it can be read in other computers.
