How to replicate:

1. Click either "Post Reply" on the bottom left or "Go Advanced" underneath the quick reply textbox.
2. I'm taken to a reply page with a full editor and a list of previous posts listed underneath.
3. These posts do not have any quote buttons.

Therefore "advanced" mode is actually missing basic functionality present in the quick reply. You can theoretically copy + paste text and then add quote tags to it, but you'd still need to manually edit in the poster's name.

Am I missing something? Did I accidentally disable this functionality somehow?

If you want to quote a post that's what the quote and multi-quote buttons are for when viewing a thread.

The purpose of the posts on the Reply page is to offer a condensed version of the thread so that you can look at it as a reference for the post you are writing.

That much is obvious.

So there's no easy way to quote after you've clicked reply and started writing? That's a shame.

Thanks Virge.

This is a standard vB setup. So there's not much I can say other than that it's by design.
