unable to open ports, please help

Im unable to open ports on my router. Ive read guides but nothing I do works. Im trying to open a port for my xbox (cant connect to parties) and for utorrent (cant seed). But nothing I do works. The router Im using is Linksys e1000

Did you also open those ports in Windows Firewall? Do you have a DSL or Cable? Do you have a modem/router combo from you ISP that the Linksys is plugged into? If so you will have to port forward those ports in your modem/router combo and turn your Linksys E1000 into an access point and disable the DHCP server.
