i dont know what the delta value is. is it a percentage of the difference in luminance between one value and the value bellow or above it, like a 127 and a 128, so that if the theoretical value is supposed to be 127, and you get 127.1, then that has a delta value of 10...i dont know. is that how it works. because they say that more than a deltaE value of 3 is noticable, but if thats only 3 percent betweet the 127 and the 128, then how could that be noticable. its too small a value. i dont understand.
why is there two values delta-E and delta-C. they say its a measure of difference between the theoretical and actual, but if one of these is the theoretical, then how come its not a perfectly straight line, since a theoretical should be a perfectly straight line on the x axis itself and therefore not even be visible.
then i thought. maybe its the difference between the red and the blue line. but if that is so, then what is the red and the blue.
here is a link to an example for anybody who needs to see it:

i need a basic and clear explanation because i need a monitor which has to be very smooth when it comes to gradations , and i dont want to buy an EIZO CG210 and spend 2700$ when a 1200$ monitor would do the job.
so to simplify the questions:
1- what does the y-axis represent.
2- what does the red line represent
3- what does the blue line represent
