when i put my dvd in the dvd rom, it autoruns and an error shows up saying
"The application or DLL J:\Sources\UXLIB.DLL is not a valid windows image. please check this against your installation diskette"

when i press ok another error shows up saying

"The file 'autorun.dll' could not be loaded or is corrupt. Setup cannot continue. Error code is [0xc1]

also, when i restart my pc and try to boot from dvd i get stuck on the screen which says choose a partition on which windows 7 is to be installed, i choose a partition which contains 32gb free space, but it says not enough space.

please tell me what to do!! any help would be appreciated!!

Is the target machine 64 bit capable? Win 7 needs more than 32GB free. Put in a different drive.

Yes i just bought the latest 2nd gen core i5 with 8 gb ram so it is capable of running windows 7. What is the disk space requirements for windows 7 64 bit????

Try deleting the partition, then re-create.

I figured it out. I was using 2 HDD's one 80gb and the other 250gb.
The boot or system partition was in 250gb hdd and only had 4gb left, where as i was installing windows 7 in 80 gb hdd which is empty.

So what i did was open up the case, detach the sata cables from the 250gb hdd and then tried to install again. and VOILA 🙂

Silly me 😀 Thanks everyone for the input!!

if anyone else having this problem can PM me.. I will explain it to you in detail!!!
