While waiting for the rest of my kit, I'm trying to OC my mobile 2500, nf7-s v2 (bios 23), 1g mushkin lvl 1 2-3-3-6.

I'm able to be stable (half hr of prime95) using either of these, but no more.
Vcore=1.65
Multi=11.5
FSB=200
=2305 mhz.
ITemp=37
LTemp=48.5
Case=27

or

Vcore=1.7
Multi=11.5
FSB=203
=2341 mhz.
ITemp=48
LTemp=52
Case=27

Can't seem to hit that 12 multi though. and anything above 203 fails prime95. At 205/6 my ram drops to 2-4-4-7 by spd and I'm assuming it's worse to have those timing than have a few more mhz squeaked out.

I've tried a 1.8 vcore for 12x200 but my pc just reboot after a few seconds of prime95. Temps get to about 50 or so and it goes. The bios is setup to reboot at 80 and warn at 65. I've never seen/heard a warning though. Ram voltage=2.6 for all tests.

So, any suggestions? Or is this it.
Thanks,
Sokratz

Well, it shouldn't be your cpu temp causing the problems, unless that 50C temp is at idle. BTW, the lowest voltage most people run Mushkin ram at is 2.8v (the setting called vdimm in the bios). You are getting the max out of it, unless you raise the voltage. And don't be afraid to give your cpu 1.75v, they are just desktop Bartons that will run on lower voltage, not have to run on lower voltage.

Ram voltage is way too low. Try 2.8. I've got a similar setup (2600m, geil 2x512 same timings) and couldn't hit 12.5 at 2.6V. I went to Geil's site and lo! they say crank it up to 2.9 w/o fear. I did, now have complete stability at 12.5x200.
Good luck.:beer:

that not bad, mine will get up to 59 under load and thats at 1.75V

mine runs 2400mhz

your ram voltage is too low, that probably what causeing the problem
