UNABLE TO GET CMOS SETTINGS

i put in a new micronics m54-hi board w/an intel 133 cpu. i've not been able to get the system to set its cmos settings. i get cmos checksum invalid errors. systems configuration read data errors. after f2, it looks like it's gone into the cmos but i only see the cmos chesum invalid message and none of the function keys work. no beeps. only at start up when it does not find anything to set. if i f1 to resum it says it can't find operating system. anyone have any ideas? i've already replaced battery and moved jumper to clear old settings. same results. 😕

If you're getting the checksum during memory post then I'd check that the memory stick(s) is compatible and seated. If Checksum occurs during or before hard drive post would indicate a problem in that area, like IDE cable hookup, power, master/slave jumper, etc. I didn't see in your text that you did a Ctl+alt+del to enter the cmos. Hope this helps.
