Well, what do you know? Another problem with WinXP. I'm having trouble deleting a folder in my Program Files. Windows keeps telling me that the folder is either write-protected or a file is in use. I've tried restarting the computer, shift-deleting, dragging to the Recycle Bin, "rd" and "del" in the command prompt, and no success. Does anyone know where my problem lies, or where a solution may be found? Thanks in advance.

Kind of hard, when we don't know what folder it is. If its marked as a system folder for some reason, it won't delete.

Oh sorry, forgot to mention that. The folder is Morpheus (the file-sharing program). I erased everything in the folder, but for some reason, Adobe Acrobat and Nero refused to be deleted. I can rename the Morpheus folder, but unable to delete it.

Sheesh. I think what we have here is a case of a poor workman blaming his tools. You wouldnt happen to be using NTFS would you?

Acrobat and Nero install files, I assume? These are located in said morpheus directory??

If those assumptions are correct, it would seem your problem is with those files, not the directory. Have you checked the properties of those files?

Also, I am assuming morpheus has been uninstalled, right??

Well, Morpheus was uninstalled. I had uninstalled Acrobat, thinking it would help, but it didn't. So I just dragged the folder into the Online Services folder, and tried to delete that folder, and it worked! :) So thanks for the help guys, appreciated the comments.
