Unable to connect to any MIRC servers...

I've tried a few dozen different servers, and they all give me either a "connection refused" or an "unable to resolve server" error. Initially it had worked until I upgraded to the latest version, which supposedly kept all my settings..

My firewalls are disabled, and the default port is at 6667..any ideas?

and if you happen to be trying to connect to DALnet, it's pretty much dead for the time being. major ddos attacks.

Most servers want identd to be running.

Are you using a router for a cable or DSL connection or something?

Using a router for DSL yes..

I can't connect to IRC servers unless I have my PC DMZ'ed on my router that I use w/ my cable. Try setting the DMZ on your router to your PC.

Hmm, so what kind of settings do I use under identd?

it's on System: UNIX, Port: 113, and the three options underneath unchecked.
