Unable to close session when burning cdrw

I have a Creative CD-RW RW4224E. running EasyCD Creator 4.02 and Windows 2k. When I try to burn a cdrw disc, EasyCd went thru the testing and writing phases without problems, but stalls when closing session. I cannot eject the cd until I reboot windows. There is no such problem when I burn a cdr disc. I have used the cd writer for several years now. This problem only appeared recently out of the blue. Can anyone help?
