unable to change monitor settings?

I think something is wrong I just built my first system but now when I go to settings for the monitor iI cannot get the screen saver to work and worse I just downloaded flight simulator and it won't play because I have to have 16bit color enabled. I have a radeon 7500 installed and a 8kha ddr board I believe I need to go back into bios and change something? But what do I change?
 
ok new at this where/what is the device manager? Wait I found it did what you said to do and when it rebooted found the drivers on its own, still same problem no change I think I will try again.
 
well, if it's automatically using it's own drivers, then you need to download the newest radeon drivers and install them over the existing ones
 
Ok I tried doing what you told me again (in between child care) and it worked this time thank you so much everthing looks so much better now! Everything was a little fuzzy before now its clear and sharp wow!! Thanks bunches and gobs!😀
