Unable to browse the network

I recreated my network with my Windows 2000 server. Before the rebuild, the client computers were able to go to Windows Explorer -> Network -> and browse the networked pcs.

Now the clients are not able to browse throught the network. They get an error: "Access Denied. <network name> server not available at this time."

I thought this would be a group policy thing, but I can't find it anywhere. Can anyone shed some like on this?

What does "recreated my network" mean, exactly?

If you rebuilt your Server 2000, then did you unjoin all the client PCs from the old Domain and join them to the new Doman?

Sorry about the wording.

Yes, I rebuilt the server and readded all clients to the new domain. Nothing special as far as GP or security settings.... defaults settings were used.

You will have to make sure that you actaully add them to the domain, not just their names to the AD Computers container. Try deleting their machine accounts and log in as a local administrator on the workstation. Then as a local admin, use your domain admin account to join a workgroup. When the system comes back, join again.

is the server running DHCP/WINS?

You might need to wait a few days for master browser stuff to settle down.
