Unable to Break Screen Lock in 2K

Has anyone had problems breaking the screen lock on Windows 2000 SP2? Everytime I try to break someone's (a normal user) lock with my account (in the admin group), the computer locks up. It looks like it's working because the box on the screen goes away, but the computer just sits there doing nothing. I have tried this on several machines, and it has never worked for me.
