Recently my computer has refused to boot up twice. Was luckily able to restore it once before, but now is unable to due to "A required drive partition is missing"

Everyone says it's due to my motherboard. Has anyone have an idea of how I can get my computer to restore? I have the Windows OS recovery disc.

Dell XPS 8700
8GB Ram
Intel Core i7 Processor
1TB HDD
AMD Raden HD 7500 Series

That's the best info I can remember without having to look in my computers settings but.. Can't do that obviously lol

Thanks for any and all help!

It's either the board or the drive. Could also be a sata cable or port.

So the first thing to try would be replacing the SATA cable. If that doesn't work, try a different SATA port. If that doesn't work, see if the drive works on a different computer.

For my driver the cable is blue, but can I plug my SATA cable into a port which is a different color?

Most likely. You may need to go into the bios and make a boot device adjustmemt, but in most cases this would not be necessary.
