Hi Guys,
Last night I built new system using a Asus AN8-SLI motherboard, it booted fine and everything before I left it.
Today I decided to redo the front audio panels because I got them incorrect. I plugged in the power and the all the fans would spin for about 5 seconds and shut down, no beeps or video or anything. First I found that strange as it should not power the fans when you first plug in the power cable. I tried hitting the power and it would not start at all.
Now the funny thing is when I unplug the 12v 4 pin connector and plug in the main the fans will keep running, again no beeps or video signal and the power switch will not turn it off.
The motherboard light is green
I seem to have shorted something, has anyone run into this problem know a fix?

Thanks in advance

Take it apart, and re-seat only one stick of RAM and vid card to see if it works. If so, you've found the problem.

If that doesn't fix it, you may have a short between the motherboard and the case. Remove the mounting screws, insert a sheet of cardboard or plastic under the board and try it. If that gets it, carefully reinstall the mounting screws.

Good luck. :)

Problem solved!
It was actually the power switch cable. The mobo was receiving a continual signal thus when I plugged it in the power connector it would automatically start and also turn off in 5 secs because it thought the power switch was being held.
I wiggled the power connection on the switch and now its all good :)
