well who could have guessed this? it's not like the french revolution happened or anything... what's the saying? those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it?

seems like we're headed that direction unless the course of the ship is righted (timespan up for debate obviously)

Fun fact: wealth inequality in the United States currently exceeds pre-revolutionary France.

This is the kind of thing that always happens when you decide that there is no value in reading the literature that has inspired "your enemies."

Conservatives would maybe be able to understand history if they took the time to actually read--including stuff like Das Kapital and Mein Kampf. They're valuable resources for understanding how cyclical these events are...and you know, how to address them before they get out of hand, again.

Though there appear to be many that call themselves conservatives, today, that have read Mein Kampf, but absorbed some very different lessons from it....
