I am building a PC for my mom, the thing runs sweet. I was able to use the mobo and CPU from my old PC and the new case i bought her has front mount USB.
well, the USB header on the motherboard is not marked as to which wire plugs onto each pin.
I am VERY confused by all this and need help.
I have the old mobo manual and the only thing it says about the USB header is that it exists and it is meant for front mount USB ports on some cases.
vague? yes.
The Case USB wires that come thru the bezel are marked D-, D+ Ground and 5v.
thats 4 wires
now then, the USB header on the board has 5 pins in a row. actually, 2 rows of 5 because it is meant for 2 front USB's (the case has 2 different bundles of wires marked as above (D+, D-, Ground, and 5V)
Is this making ANY SENSE? how do i know which order the wires plug in in and how do i know which pin to leave empty?
somebody help me, i have been dealing with this for over a week and have tried every source i could think of.
I am shy about just trying them random until i see a diagram, i would hate to short stuff out.
the mobo in question is an ECS K7VZA revision 3.0
if anybody can help with this i will bow down and kiss ur feet!
