From the district of Massachusetts, the Western Division. It's addressed to me and everything.

It also is addressed to an old website of mine's, a site I spent a few months on, whose domain was expired..but apparently was picked up by some casino site. There's a long @ss contract thing here that's addressed to "Creditors and Parties in Interest".

What tHE HELL!?!?!??!? I'm 19, have never started a business of any type, shape or form..unless you consider my cheap website.

They go on about bidding and cure claim procedures, and there's a "cure schedule".

:confused::confused::confused::confused:

First and foremost I would try and get ahold of the company that sent you that letter. See if they got you two mixed up. Then if they did, I would try and track down that casino that went out of business because they may have filed for backruptcy.

I recently received a backruptcy letter in the mail addressed to our company. Basically we're located inside K-Mart. So come to find out they just sent us info in regards to their backruptcy... But I would definately contact the party that sent it to you and the party who it's actually meant for.

To whom was it addressed? A business name? Your name? You mentioned that it was to an old website of yours but it your name included in there?

If so, I'm sure they just got ahold of old info...reply back and list the current domain's registration info.

sounds like the company that hosted your site filed bankruptcy (explains why they would have the url) and that you are a possible client/customer/party meaning they might owe you money so its just a letter stating that they have filed bankruptcy.

I've gotten one of them before.

Read it carefully, I'm sure it has the explanation you're looking for.

My bet, like twinkletoes', is that some company is going bankrupt and you are identified as a potential creditor (debtor? I get those two mixed up).

Most likely you won't get anything even if they really do owe you money, so if that's the case, throwing out the letter is probably the most efficient course of action.

Thats kinda strange did you call the number that was on there to see how you can fix the problem?

I disagree with everyone....

You are going bankrupt and don't even know it. :)

Can I have your computer? :D

Okay, I just called, and left a voice message..let's see.

I see some really big numbers on this letter..something like "Under the proposed agreement, the debtors will receive from the proposed buyer the aggregate consideration of $2,400,000, of which $1,200,000 is cash, for the Assets.

i agree with twinkeltoes and nogginbonk - a company that you may or may not be involved with is filing and they are letting you know that in case you want to try and get money that is owed to you.
