Ummm.. How does amazon financing work?

I just purchased an item for $2,300. Amazon financing didn't require a dollar amount but I still applied putting $2300 as the requested amount... I got a confirmation for $1,000 - weird because I don't have bad credit.. Anyway, I used that account number to finish my purchase and the order went through - does amazon financing just automatically start at $1,000 (for large purchases) and then adjust when you make the purchase or is this purchase going to fall through? Thanks!

Get off your lazy ass and call 1-800-201-7575

Didn't have their number! Thanks!

Then SAVE THIS to your hard drive.

Woaw, very convenient! I called them and straightened out in a second - I'll be getting my snazzy new camera 4 days early too!

So what was the outcome? What happened?

Which camera?

Also how can you afford a $2,300 camera but you cannot afford a phone number?

The problem was that they automatically approved me for $1,000 so there just wasn't enough credit in the account. It only took a one minute phone call to straighten it out. The camera is the Canon GL2 - it's a bit less than $2100 after rebate...

I got a part time job and my parents are helping me out with the camera since it's an investment for my future (film student).. I'll eventually work full time and just pay it before the interest kicks in...

I hope you qualified for the 0% APR on purchases for 12 months?

yep, I believe so... I should be back on my feet in a few weeks.. And I'm currently able to make payments that pay it off in a year anyways... So it's all good.. And I got free voicemail so I don't need that phoneline!

Oh yeah... buy a better camera, because it will make you a better filmmaker.
