Yeah, thats going to leave a mark.

If it was a police "projectile" I think they need to have their scope adjusted up a little.

That's SOP for breaking up riots

I think that they're considering protestors that are interfering with major roads in the same basic category. We are allowed by law to protest, but not to keep others from doing their normal daily duties.

I think if they are going to demonstrate in that manner, they deserve whatever the get. It's too bad that some of the dock workers got caught in the crossfire, though. I think the unioin should sue the protesters... it was their fault that they dockworkers got hurt.

OH SH*T!! That is brutal. Lesson I learned today: When the police start firing anti-riot projectiles turn and RUN. That's gonna hurt for a looooong time. And I thought a paintball could sting :)

If you are shooting, you should be shooting low into the legs and chest, not at the face....

I have no sympathy for people who block streets or prevent others from entering their work places.

It's their right to protest, on their property as long as it does not interfere with others' rights. The were in clear violation of that. You know, it really sucks that she had to get hurt. However, the protestors' idea that they are untouchable, and the police cannot stop them is wrong... dead wrong. They are correct that they don't leave the police many options when they do that, so they better handle what the police end up whipping o

reminds me of the dumbass protesters that bought Lake Shore Drive in Chicago to a standstill when they took their protest onto the expressway....they didn't get the results they were hoping for at the dirksen building (I believe it was that building) so they thought ruining other people's day would solve their problems :|

She had it coming.

The war is already happening/happened, depending on your perspective. The only thing your going to accomplish is further endanger other people's lives in Iraq. Think before you act people.

Granted, they'll be supplied anyway, but thats no excuse.

Fanatic anti war people...go ahead and protest, but there's a line you can't cross.

I heard about a greenpeace speedboat trying to stop the movement out of harbor of a UK warship and I was thinking "What?". In my opinion somebody on the bow of the warship should have a megaphone and say "This is your final chance to get the hell out of the way, then we're just setting it to full steam ahead and God be with you." Protestors need to realize that protesting is not a shield against physical response from others when you start infringing directly on their ability to do their jobs/duties/whatever. I think those nasty welts on that chick probably will sting like a mother for a long long time, but she deserved it. The cops certainly were not aiming for the head, but sucks to be her; what the hell else did she expect?
