So I was watching the NBC Winter Olympic and somehow it became the Rodeo shows. Then I looked at the TV and I don't know what I'm watching is proper.

Yes, they still have the dirt ring, yes they still have the raging bulls, yes they still have the colorful clowns and the cage and barrels. But gone are the cowboys. They have these guys with helmet and flak jackets on top of these bulls. WTF?!!? D: Next you'll have bull riding in the X-Games?

Where are the cowboy hats? Where are the gigantic belt buckles? At least they still have the leather chaps...
 
The Dallas Cowboys are the greatest sports team on the planet Earth in the Terran System. They will emerege as this years Super Bowl champs!!
 
A lot of them are choosing to wear the hard jackets and helmets because of the money that they make nowadays and as more information comes out as to the long term effects of concussions.

There was a Real Sports on HBO that talked about injuries in pro rodeo and how there is no one commenting on concussions with those guys, like in the NFL. They had one rider on there that said he'd had over 20 concussions in his career, even two in one night.
 
Pro Bull Riding has really changed the past several years. The bull riders are required to wear the protective vest and a lot wear helmets - for good reason, a hoof of a bull that weighs over a ton could probably crush someone's head like a grape.

well I was pulling for the Cards but now it'll have to be this order of my preferred teams to win

Saints
Jets
Vikings
Chargers
Colts
Cowboys

Granted, the Jets are easily the worst team remaining, but the Saints look back to their dominant form so things are looking good.
