Umm...how do I use the front I/O panel on my X-Fi? Only headphones work!

Well, trying to connect my laptop to my X-Fi front panel I/O through analog (use a 3.5mm to red/white analog plugs) but no audio is coming out! Not even the digital I/O are working...only thing that does is the damn headphones!

Yes, I have everything hooked up correctly...yes the power cord is connected.

Sooo...how do I use this no directions/documentation on how it works I/O panel?

okay, think for a minute.

your x-fi front panel headphone port is an audio OUT, because your desktop is an audio producer.

your laptop's 3.5 mm jack is an audio OUT as well.

hooking up 2 out's isnt gonna be very productive.

it has an audio IN on the back, probably gonna be the blue port. the front panel might also... look for something called "Line in".

What are you talking about? Im not that damn dumb Christ!

The front I/O panel if you actually looked up "X-Fi FRONT PANEL" you would see that theres more than just a headphone jack...digital coaxial, optical, analog, MIDI...
