Umm anyone here with a medical background, my heartbeat has been irregular lately

I've noticed in the last couple of weeks that my heartbeat seems to be skipping a beat (for a lack of a better description). Is this something I should be concerned about or am I about to die?

I rarely get sick, I'm healthy as a bull for the most part. Genetic diabetes runs in my family but outside of that I never really get colds or flus or even headaches. At any rate I'll be calling the doctor first thing tomorrow.

If you're really scared go see a doctor. But don't get to worked up about it, Ive had an irregular heartbeat (thats what the doctors called it) for years. Found out about it after I had to visit the hospital for a wrestling injury, I don't think it really means anything, just that we are weird perhaps?

YOU CAN'T TELL WITHOUT DIAGNOSTIC TESTS (12 lead being the first and quickest to see exactly what's happening)

I never drink coffee or anything with caffeine, in fact 95% of the time I drink water. Now that I think about it I have'nt even been drinking much alcohol in the last 6-8 weeks.

whoa, mine too! In fact I sort of passed out in the car a few weeks ago and that's when I saw the doctor. ECG was all fvcked-up from what the doc told me. Oh well, you learn to live with it huh?

Hmmm... Not really a good idea to joke about this. Certain stimulants really could do some damage, depending on the problem.
