looks like its arrest to me.

the arrest was for when he tried reaching for his service belt, which was a complete fabrication.

The video contradicts official police reports that “Suspect Arrington lunged at one of the officers and attempted to grab his service belt.”
so what then?

allow this to happen and hope there is video contradicting a cops lie?

are they not allowed to be held to a higher standard?

This is what happens when people sink into their iCrap instead of taking to the streets and demanding that this crap stop.

Guy should keep his homeless belongings off my public beach and its designated areas.

Anyone else thinking of this?

I've watched the video multiple times, it does not contradict the police reports. I wouldn't say that it supports them either. It is not clear enough to use it as evidence one way or another since the quality isn't the greatest and there are a few times where the recording is on the actual incident clearly.

So, when did the guy lunge at the cops? From what was seen, the guy was sitting, two cops approached him from opposite sides of him, grabbed both arms and took him to the ground, whereupon more cops "jumped" on top of him. Where was the lunge?

Now all police videos are watched with an eye towards brutality. People will see what they want to see.
I saw half a dozen cops arresting a guy sitting in a chair and they were so bad at doing so they had to taze him.
they guy resisted and they used less than deadly force to get control.
Is that how it works? Resist arrest and anything up to but not quite including deadly force is acceptable? The law disagrees.

Why? You apparently believe people see in videos what they want to see, so why did you keep watching?

Dear God, that woman was so annoying with her "Don't you put your hands on me!" "You put your hands on me!" "He had no right to put his hands on me!" "He put his hand one me! I'm not in a third-world country!" "They put their hands on defenseless women!" bull.

Seriously? She was closer than anyone else, they told her to back up, she refused. They had every right to calmly push her back and yet she acts like SHE was brutalized.

so the police are to just walk away, ignore the laws of the community? they were doing their jobs why is that so hard to understand.

i see no fault in the cops in this video. they guy resisted and they used less than deadly force to get control.

"Deadly force?" People think ANY force is "deadly force" these days.

And you are bang-on about everything else:
There are laws that specifically target the homeless using public spaces as parking space for their shipping carts full of crap. He was in violation of these laws. The police must enforce these laws. He did not comply and, thus, force was necessary with or without a "lunge." Once he was on the ground he was still resisting and, thus, the taser was brought out. THAT IS WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN AND THAT IS WHAT DID HAPPEN.
