Umax Scanner problem!

Something's wrong with my Astra 2000P Scanner. The light and cables are connected and the scanner moves and works fine, but there's a bit of trouble with the proper image being displayed. It repeats the same RGB (Red, Green and Blue) lines, even when I scan no page, any colour page or what not. I'll have an image up soon, but any idea?

Tried installing on two computers, one with WinXP and one with Win98, and both produce the same result. I think its the scanner's fault, but where can I go to get this repaired? Help! 🙁

Sounds like your scanner to me as well. As far as getting it repaired, you'll probably have to go to the factory and it's not worth it. You can get a new scanner with much better resolution for well under $100.
 
Umax has $h** tech support, I emailed them twice and nothing yet. That was 4 months ago.

That's true, but I live in Canada and everything here is oh-so-much more expensive 🙁
