Umax Scanner Hep

In win2k, I have certain items on my desktop menu at the bottom of the screen. I would like to remove one of them as it conflicts with some of my printing. Where is the startup located, or should I go elsewhere to remove the item, which is a Umax Scanner, which may be from a previous install of an older, but replaced scanner.

If you want to delete the VistaScan software, go to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. If you just want to stop that program from launching when you boot up, download a nifty bit of freeware called: startCP. It creates a Control Panel that lets you see (and disable) everything that launches when you start your system.
