Umax Astra 3400 scanner on Linux

I have a Umax Astra 3400 scanner and I want to make it works on Linux.....Any ideas???? no drivers can be downloaded form umax.com (they only have MacOX and Windows :-( )

Is there any mail list that I can ask for driver?

According to the SANE website, your scanner is supported. Install and run SANE, and see how far you get.

Nah, my scanner is "Astra 3400" but anyway, I will try sane today and see what happen
