What are the rules regarding comments about dead people? It seems to vary based on who died, how they died, who's making the comment, and the weather. When someone who is not noteworthy in any way dies in a funny way, the threads usually turns into a pun-fest - and that's allowed. In the Steve McNair thread, two people got vacations for comments that probably wouldn't have gotten a second look in any other thread. I'm glad to see you cracking down on people who are consistently annoying, but when you give them vacations for seemingly out of the blue it makes it hard to know what's allowed and what's not allowed. If the vacation is due to the user's history of trolling culminating in the one post that got them the vacation, say that. That appears to be the case from this thread, but in the original thread it appears that they're just being banned for the one post.

I understand what you are saying but we won't divulge a member's notes to the membership to show you why he or she may be getting a longer vacation that what you might think he or she deserves.

You are going to have to trust us on that one. A member's history has a lot to do with the length of vacation he or she gets. I would hazard a guess that the members here are pretty sure which members are causing us the most grief around here.
