Um.. didn't I say something wrong?

Hey, guys, I just want to know what I did (or wrote) wrong.

The situation was this guy wanted to make a deal with my Duron. So he sent me this PM:

- ***:
will you be able to ship first?
my heat is *******.
i pay w/money orders ,lmk -

He had about 110 evals, while I only have 13. So I answered back this:

- I would not mind to ship first, however, just want to know why you don't want to pay 😀 And how about cross trade? Thanks! -

I just wanted to say that I don't care about ship first. But I just wanted to hear the reason why he wants me to send first (or reason why he can't believe me 😛). In other words, no matter what his answer was, I would have shipped first.

But I got this reply back:

- ***:
the person with the most heat is usally the one to be the safer side,i will pass on this deal.don't feel good about it. -

Um... Ok, so deal is broken. But I don't understand what I should feel bad about. I guess my reply was really sounded bad to him, I guess, but why? Can someone explain what I, who have been in America only 4 years, did wrong?

Can someone explain what I, who have been in America only 4 years, did wrong?
Nothing that I see. Some members choose to pass on deals they are unsure of. Just move on and find another buyer.

Thanks for your reply 😀. But well, why did he say 'don't feel good about it' then? Why should I feel good about broken deal, which I really want to get rid of ASAP.

that's worded kind of strangely. "why you don't want to pay" makes it sound like the other guy is trying to rip you off.

As someone said, he just left the "I" subject of the sentence implied. What he says is, "I don't feel good about it."

I see.. that might be. Well, I forgot to add 'first' (stupid typo). Anyway, thanks for the replies guys 😀 I learned that I should check one more time before I press OK. I sent him the explain about what I meant. I hope he don't get mad about me.

He was saying that he does not trust you. That he is afraid to send you money in case you dont send his item. And when you asked him why he did not want to pay, he took that as an excuse to back out of the deal. You did not do anything wrong. Some ppl just feel that unless you have loads of references (only the type they like) that you should trust them to send the item first, even thought they wont trust you and send the money first.

It is your item, your rules. If you dont want to ship the item first, then don't. Don't be intimidated.

🙂
