Ultrabooks in the tubes

Can anyone comment on what notable ultrabooks, if any, are going to be updated or released in the next month?

Amazon is pushing ultrabooks with a free $100 gift card and I'm unsure if it is premature to jump on a UX31A or Samsung Series 9 with that bonus. I need to grab one of these thin and lights for grad school at the end of August.

I grabbed the UX31A the other day. Should arrive today. I doubt I'll virtualize much, and I don't give a rat's ass about gaming; so no need for a dGPU and 4GB RAM should do fine for me.

If those things do matter to you, then you might wait out for Amazon to actually carry the Asus ux32vd (as opposed to being sold through a partner).

IMO, if the ux31a does what you need, then grab it. The $100 GC deal ends July 21.
 
Anyone know if there are plans for an updated xps13?
I really like that model's materials and the 13" display in a 11" footprint, but the tn panel and battery life really put me off.

The company I work for (large company) is putting an order in for an army of these things in September. They are supposed to be built in October and ship in November. I'm crossing my fingers - I'm going to have my name on one of them! I have an 8460p right now and while it's not bad, I'd like the Folio for it's thinness to make traveling for work lighter and not so bulky. Loving the port selection on the 9470M!

Am I missing something or is it still not possible to buy the Asus UX21A-DB models? 🙁

Others are available but they all seem to have the low res screen. I think I may just end up going with a Carbon, I actually really like the 1600x900; not too big and not too small for the size.
 
Elitebook Folio 9470M goes on sale tomorrow. $1100.

I'm getting one for the boss. Sad it has a crap screen though.

Not sure what I will get myself though. Going to keep looking.
