Ultrabay 2000 removal procedure

Hi,

Just a quick question, but I can't find a definitive answer on IBM's site or the net:

I have a T22 thinkpad and would like to swap the ultrabay 2000 DVD for the floppy drive whilst the unit is powered up. I assume I can do this from the "Safely remove hardware" system tray icon - but want to double check just to be sure! I get nervous when unplugging electrical items that are switched on!

Any comments much appreciated.
